This week we have a bit of news about Project Draco, Zumba Fitness Rush is now out and still another attempt at humor (with funnier results) from the advertising team that is supporting Kinect Star Wars. Let’s get to it.
Project Draco, which was announced at the Tokyo Game Show in 2010 was only a temporary title, so is believed right now. A look at the actual filings with Australia’s rating board has turned up a game from Microsoft and Grounding, the two supposedly working on the Kinect title for one called Crimson Dragon. Now it’s possible, however unlikely, that there could be another game coming out from the same creator on the same subject, but we doubt it. Obviously these two are meant to be the same game. It’s not clear from the trailer for Project Draco what the adventure is all about really, but it shows two guys riding the red dragons (thus the crimson moniker) and the one of the lizards is about to breathe fire. So you can take that for what it’s worth. No word on when the game will be out, but there is big news coming about it, so we’ll let you know.
Zumba Fitness 2 was out for the Wii last November and Xbox 360/Kinect users were wondering where their version was. Well it was a little bit delayed, but the good news is that it is a much deeper version than that one was. There is now five new places to dance, ten new routines, new instructors, online play, new songs by popular artists such as Nicole Scherzinger, and more. In fact, there was so much added Kinect features that they decided to call it Zumba Fitness Rush instead. While the title does have its roots deep in the dancing game genre and looks a bit like Dance Central at times, it’s actually designed to give you a true workout via the Zumba revolution. 24 international dance styles are represented such as the Samba, Hip Hop, Merengue, Salsa, Rumba and others to create a routine that will burn those calories right out of your body. You can buy the new version right now for $49.99 or you can wait for the demo which should be available later this month if you want to check it out first.
And finally, it seems that there is another comedy trailer out for Kinect Star Wars, but at least this one is pretty funny and isn’t nearly as offensive to the Star Wars fans. In the scene of the movie where the Death Star officers are discussing using the destructive force, Darth Vader is disturbed by their arrogance. But instead of the six foot black cloaked dark lord, there is a teenage girl playing the part. And she is far more vindictive than Darth Vader was, especially when she’s told to stop choking the guy when he challenges her on the shortcomings of the Force. But you’ll see what I mean when you watch it.
And that’s about all the time we have for in this edition. Thanks as always for reading.
